Hi, I’m Robert Pedersen – professional handyman and owner of South Texas Services.  Helping busy home owners with home repairs and beautifying their homes is what I do.

Whether you need a outdoor lighting system to show off your home in the evening or a dripping faucet replaced, I’ve got you covered.  I have a wide range of skills and tools for all kinds of tasks and I’d be happy to help you.

My story

I don’t know how most handymen get their start, but I guess mine started the day I was born – to a general contractor in McAllen TX.

I grew up around a wood shop and on job sites.  Probably getting in the way more than helping but…

Of course I decided to go to school and began college for Electrical Engineering.  In the end, I couldn’t bear the classroom and theory and wanted to DO stuff.

I’ve worked in machine shops, the oilfield, and owned my own outdoor lighting business in Birmingham AL.

Over the years I’ve learned a few things about myself and I’ll share a couple of them here.

I love to solve problems and I love to fix things.

I also think a person should do something they enjoy.  So… when my oilfield job offered to move me to Midland, I decided it was time to start doing something I enjoyed more!

So in January 2017 I launched South Texas Services offering professional outdoor lighting and handyman services in the Victoria, TX area.
